To be eligible to participate in the tournament, each entrant must have completed an entry form and paid all dues not later than the date & time set on the entry form, and must agree to abide by tournament rules.
All catch and release must be submitted with photographic proof recorded on a digital camera and handed to the Island Photo booth on arrival at the dock.
The Official tournament Headquarters and Weighing in station will be the place designated on the entry form
All boats must be at the designated declared point of departure in the Island of Antigua.
The angler must set the hook and bring the fish to gaff unaided: However, assistance in moving the rod from the gunnel holder to the fighting chair is permitted.
The entrant of the boat or someone so delegated will be responsible to ensure that these rules are enforced under pain of disqualification from the tournament.
It shall be the responsibility of the Judges Committee to adjudicate the written rules and to make necessary decisions where the situation has not been anticipated by the written rules. The Decision of the Judges committee is Final.
All fish caught will be weighed and recorded on arrival at the designated Weighing-in-Station by an appointed Judge of Scales and duly witnessed by the entrant or his delegate.
Any boat in distress must fly a Red Flag.
All boats Must Have VHF radio and standby and monitor on channel 06
The judges have the right to inspect boat and gear at any time.
Marlin boated must be brought to the scales
The official sponsors of the Antigua and Barbuda Sport Fishing Tournament are listed on the brochure. No other competing sponsors by participating boats will be allowed in the tournament. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in disqualification.
EQUIPMENT
Hand lines are prohibited.
No lines in excess of 80 lbs. are permitted.
Not more than two hooks are permitted, per line.
Gang hooks are permitted only on plugs and artificial lures.
Artificial and any other baits are permitted.
Power driven reels are prohibited.
Ratchet handle reels are prohibited.
Reels designed for cranking with both hands are prohibited.
Harpooning, lancing or shooting to assist in boating of fish is prohibited.
ANGLING REGULATIONS
Harnesses may be used, and may be replaced or adjusted by another person.
One or more gaffers are permitted to boat a fish.
DISQUALIFICATION ACT
Failure to comply with rules and other regulations.
Acts of person other than the angler in adjusting the reel drag or touching any part of the rod, line or reel during the fighting of fish.
A rod breaks while fighting a fish.
Mutilation of fish caused by propeller, attacks of other fish, shooting and Harpooning.
No fish under 10 lbs will be recognised.
Jigging & Drift Fishing Prohibited.
RADIO
A base radio will be in operation, called ASF Radio on Channel 06. All boats must report their departure-location-strikes and types of fish to ASF Radio.
It is the responsibility of each boat to have adequate Safety Equipment on board.
Afin d’être admis à participer au tournoi, le capitaine du bateau doit avoir rempli et renvoyé le bulletin d’inscription ainsi que payé le montant d’inscription au plus tard à la date renseignée sur le bulletin d’inscription. Le capitaine doit également accepter de respecter toutes les règles du tournoi et s’engage à respecter toutes règles de sécurité ainsi que toutes injonctions données par le comité organisateur en cours de tournoi le cas échéant.
Toutes les prises et relâches doivent être soumises avec photo sur appareil digital et présentées au stand “Island Photo” dès l’arrivée au quai.
L’emplacement exact du bureau du Comité et de la station de pesée est renseigné sur le bulletin d’inscription.
Tous les bateaux doivent être au point de départ désigné sur l’île de Antigua.
Le pêcheur doit accrocher le poisson, remonter le poisson jusqu’a la gaffe sans assistance. Le pêcheur peut recevoir de l’assistance pour déplacer la canne de son support au siège de combat.
Le capitaine du bateau ou la personne désignée pour inscrire le bateau au tournoi veillera au respect de toutes les règles sous peine de disqualification du tournoi.
Le Comité du tournoi rédige son propre règlement et prend les décisions nécessaires face à une situation qui n’aurait pas été prévue par le règlement. La décision du Comite est sans appel.
Tous les poissons pêchés seront pesés et enregistrés dès l’arrivée à la station de pesée et ce par le responsable de la pesée, en présence du pêcheur ou de son représentant.
Tout bateau en détresse doit hisser un drapeau rouge.
Tous les bateaux doivent avoir à bord une radio VHF sur le canal 06.
Les juges ont le droit d’inspecter le bateau et le matériel de pêche à tout moment.
Tout marlin remonté a bord doit être présenté a la pesée.
Les sponsors officiels du « Antigua and Barbuda Sport Fishing Tournament » sont énumérés sur la brochure. Aucun bateau participant n’a le droit de faire de la publicité pour un sponsor concurrent. Le non-respect de cette règle entraînera une disqualification.
MATERIEL DE PECHE
Les Lignes à main sont interdites.
La taille maximum du fil autorisé est de 80lbs.
Pas plus de 2 hameçons par ligne.
Les hameçons multiples ne sont permis que sur les sorcières et leurres artificiels
Appâts artificiels et tous autres appâts sont permis.
Les moulinets à moteur sont interdits.
Ratchet handle reels sont interdits.
Les moulinets conçus pour mouliner à deux mains sont interdits.
Harponner, lancer la gaffe ou l’usage d’un fusil pour assister à embarquer un poisson à bord est interdit.
REGLES DE PECHE
L’usage d’un harnais est permis et le harnais peut être remis en place et ajusté par une personne.
Un ou plusieurs homme(s) de ligne sont autorisés à embarquer un poisson.
REGLES DE DISQUALIFICATION
Tout défaut de conformité aux règles.
Tous actes réalisés par une personne autre que le pêcheur afin d’ajuster le frein ou de toucher la canne, le moulinet ou le fil pendant le combat.
Une canne cassée pendant un combat.
La mutilation d’un poisson causée par l’hélice du bateau, l’attaque d’un autre poisson,l’ usage de fusil ou de harpon.
Aucun poisson en dessous de 10lbs ne sera comptabilisé.
Le Jigging et la Pêche à la dérive sont interdits.
RADIO
ASF Radio » est opérationnel sur le canal 06. Chaque bateau doit annoncer son départ/emplacement/touches et le type de poisson sur « ASF Radio ».
Chaque capitaine est responsable de la présence ,de la conformité et du bon état de fonctionnement du matériel de sécurité adéquat.
